BlueSCities project presented in Limassol, Cyprus
More than 100 participants from 15 countries from Europe and beyond, including Canada, the United States and the South Mediterranean region (Morocco, Egypt and Jordan) were presented to the BlueSCities project at the 1st Euro-Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition 2016 in Limassol, Cyprus on 14-16 April, 2016.
The conference created an interactive platform for knowledge exchange among the key actors involved in urban development issues including citizens, researchers, scientists, government representatives, and industrial representatives. The wide range of participants opened new opportunities for future cooperation.
BlueSCities received a very positive feedback related to the Dubrovnik Declaration of Intent during the question and answer session. Municipalities and organisations from all over Europe, the Middle East and United States are being invited to adhere to the Declaration and participate in the initial steps of an alliance in the war on drought and other water-based crisis.
