The EIP Water Conference held from the 9th – 11th of February, 2016 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands was an excellent opportunity to gain insights on the latest developments in the world of water, establish new contacts and share experiences with people working in European and beyond.
Both CITY BLUEPRINTS and BlueSCities were presented publically in the EIP WATER and WATER and CITIES events respectively.
We would like to share relevant information concerning the conference, in which both the BlueSCities Project and the EIP Water Action Group: CITY BLUEPRINTS featured prominently, to the extent that the European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karemenu Vella, made special reference to the work of the Action Group coordinated which has given rise to the BlueSCities Project.
The Commissioner also showed great interest in the progress of BlueSCities.
